Species-at-Risk Colouring Book
The Petitcodiac Watershed Alliance is very proud to announce the completion of its very first bilingual species-at-risk colouring book! The idea came from Nicole Verdon, a local resident, while our Executive Director was completing a “Café Tour” around the watershed talking to residents about their experience with the river and also generating ideas for projects! The book hosts four locally found species-at-risk that live in the waters of the Petitcodiac River. Mark Cann of Cann Cartoons graciously donated his time and resources to develop the drawings. Moncton Fish and Game generously provided the funding necessary to print the booklets to make them available for kids (and colouring book crazed adults!) for free when the PWA does outreach events in the community. Colette McLauchlan donated her time and translation know-how to ensure that both of our official languages are represented, increasing accessibility. If you’d like to get a copy for yourself, feel free to download and print it HERE. Just make sure you print on both sides of the paper, and click “short edge”.
